About this role 

The Information Security Operations Manager will play an essential  role in assisting  with the execution of the overall strategic plan tied to Samsung Ads Canada’s Information Security Program. With strong leadership, they routinely engage with various business heads across Samsung Ads to socialize and advocate for security initiatives, gather feedback, and address weaknesses in defenses. They are responsible for leading the SOC team through measurable strategic, technical, and operational objectives. 

Responsibilities

  • Develop, coach and lead a team of SOC Analysts; lead and manage the Security Operations Center.
  • Revise and develop processes to strengthen the current Security Operations Framework
  • Review policies and highlight the challenges in managing SLAs;ensure and advocate for compliance with security policies and SOC 2. 
  • Manage and continuously improve the security awareness program
  • Lead the development, configuration and maintenance of security automation and orchestration as well as the monitoring and incident response
  • Participate in the roadmap planning and execution for the Security Operations Center, in collaboration with the Director of Security
  • Plan and manage several projects to meet compliance and security requirements. 

Requirements

  • 7+ years of professional experience in Cybersecurity coupled with a minimum of 2 years of experience managing a SOC operations team.
  • 3+ years of professional experience of incident detection and response and cyber forensics
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Must have at least one of the 2 certifications: CISSP or CISM. 
  • Very good knowledge of SOAR and alert automation, knowledge of Risk register management and a good understanding and practical experience with AWS.
  • Extensive knowledge of security functions including Incident Management, Change Management, Identity and Access Management, Vulnerability Management, and Vendor Security Risk Management.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to provide direction when faced with complex and unfamiliar situations, communicating clearly and ability to influence at all levels, including senior executives.

Quebec Language Clause

This role demands for the individual to work on global/large scale projects and to assist, regularly, clients across Canada and the United States as well as with teams outside Québec; and therefore, requires that the incumbent is able to also speak/write in English.
